Our Staff Are Trained in Evidence-Based Therapies:
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
MBCT is an evidence based therapy that incorporates elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy with mindfulness-based stress reduction. Typically MBCT is conducted in groups, and is aimed to treat depression.
Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE)
PE is an evidence-based therapy for trauma that focuses on gradual exposure to trauma-related memories, feelings and situations. Participants learn that trauma-related memories and cues are not dangerous and do not need to be avoided.
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
CPT is an evidence-based therapy and a specific type of trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy that helps patients learn how to modify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs, as well as subsequent emotions related to their trauma.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT is a comprehensive, evidence-based treatment that utilizes individual therapy and skills training classes for the treatment of borderline personality disorder and other emotion dysregulation disorders.
